So I continued my 5k training today (for the 5k I plan to run in precisely 10 days). After the first 3 uphill minutes of huffing and puffing, I felt wonderful. There's nothing like trucking along in your severely mismatched outfit with a loud-breathing dog as your companion for 2.5 miles.
I always like seeing familiar locations on foot--it gives you a whole new perspective on your surroundings--makes you actually take a look at them, for one.

It always amazes me how the world looks different when running past versus driving past. Familiar places seem new and small places seem large. I think that is one of the driving forces that keep me putting in the miles.
I am getting terribly excited for AFI on the 9th. Have you decided if you are going yet?
I haven't decided...I haven't even heard much of the new album yet. They really do put on a good show though, so maybe I'll have to check it out.
The new album is outstanding, but in a different vein than prior albums. They are showing more of their non-punk influences...
